The Third Week

Well, the third week has passed and we have had some good news and some bad. Saturday, 01-06-2002, little Tiro, the firstborn pup, suddenly died. He suffocated, while trying to eat adult food. We were very shocked and Fescue was really upset. I buried him in my mother's garden.

The other three - Red Rune (pup 4), Larousse (pup3) and Bailey (pup2) - are doing very well. They are growing and eating and playing. Two days ago I found them to walk quite well, by now they walk very well!!! They wander around the room and although I have "puppy-proofed" my home I was afraid one of them might get under the bed or something like that and I would have a hell of a job getting them out from under that again. Funny thing is, I just have to stand in front and everybody comes scrambling to my feet. They love being close to me:-) They are only three weeks old and already they respond to my voice. Waking up when I call the other dogs to come for a walk and nosing around when I get the varikennel out to take them with us.
